There are several treatment options available depending on your specific diagnosis. Because of the new advances in the treatment of varicose and spider veins, most procedures are considered to be minimally invasive and require no hospitalization. In fact, most of our procedures are performed in the office with minimal recovery time. During your initial visit with the physician, a diagnostic test may be performed to diagnose venous insufficiency. Pictures will also be taken of your legs to monitor future progress. During the visit, treatment options with be explained and, together, you and your physician will determine the proper treatment plan. Any type of treatment will be scheduled for a future date convenient to your schedule. Treatment of spider veins, and often treatment of varicose veins, are deemed "cosmetic" by many insurance companies.
